**Clark Sound Boatworks requires a holding deposit of $10,000 to reserve your space in the boat build lineup. This is recorded as a liability deposit. Once your boat is ready to start the deposit will credit your account to record the sale. We do require certain percentages to be paid during the build time of your boat. This may occur in stages over the building period, percentages are determined by the optional equipment added to the order.

The company does not initially incur any sales tax liability when it accepts the holding depositfrom a customer. This liability is only created once the company delivers under its contract with acustomer and converts a deposit into a sale transaction. For all boats sold with a motor packagethe sales tax cap of $500 will be applied to the invoice. Trailers' sales tax is 9% and are taxedindividually.
